Olehole (pronounced o-lay ho-lay) consists of Brian Moss (ex-the Ghost, Hanalei, etc), Dan Wedgwood (ex-Burial Year, Quest For Quintana Roo), Jackson Blumgart (ex-Quest For Quintana Roo) and Alex Case (who has no cool ex member status, but is a phenomenal drummer). Amidst a volatile social climate and a stagnated musical one, the quartet pools from variety of influences, experiences, and personal traits with the unified objective of challenging both listeners and each other while keeping the razor's edge of contemporary counter-culture audio and lyricism sharp.
The band's debut full length LP/CD, titled "Holemole" is slated to drop during the Summer of 08' in the U.S. via Underground Communique Records and in the Fall in Europe/Japan via Go Kart Records. The band expects to be on the road in the US throughout late 2008 (including appearing at the Fest 7 in gainseville, florida in late october) and is planning a european tour in early 2009.
Olehole’s music swells like a ship in rough seas, alternating between calm and calamity and back again. The exhilarating sojourn that “Holemole“ takes you on is a pulsing, explosive ride. Full of twists, stop on a dime sonic shifts and more than a few awe inspiring moments. Those moments, jam packed with air-guitar inducing riffs, massive drums, constant earth shaking rhythms and brian’s near falsetto to blood curdling scream/shouting that he’s been perfecting over the last decade or so on the road has yielded their combined greatest musical effort.
